Sanctuary.  By definition it is a place of refuge, safety, and even considered holy.  For me, it is a sacred space where I can get still, where all the noises are quieted, the world seems to fall away from view, and I can bask in the presence of God by taking in the beauty all around me.  It is a place of safe serenity and renewed energy for whatever is next.
